Heavy Duty Self-Clinching Nuts
Self Clinching
These Heavy Duty Self-Clinching Nuts are available as either locking or non-locking. You may choose heat treated or non-heat treated, which offers an opportunity to upgrade fastening quality with appreciable cost reduction over weld nuts. They are perfect for aluminum and controlled steel applications.
All self-clinching fasteners install into a round hole that may be punched or drilled in ductile materials. Heavy Duty Self-Clinching Nuts provide a permanently attached fastener, which becomes an integral part of the panel or frame to eliminate problems associated with loose hardware. Self-Clinching fasteners provide added value by speeding initial assembly as well as servicing in the field, keeping costs to a minimum.

Locking Performance | N/A Prevailing torque complies with the requirements of IFI-100/107 for Grade B (inch) and ANSI B18:161M Class 9 (metric) locknuts.
Features and Benefits | N/A Self-clinching fasteners are pressed into holes in sheet metal by applying a steady squeezing force. This results in the cold-flow of sheet material, which is displaced by the knurl, into the undercut area on the shank of the fastener. Once fully embedded, the knurled area prevents torque-out during tightening of the mating part.
